The IRCPL Undergraduate Summer Fellowship supports summer research or internship opportunities for undergraduate students with a strong interest in the study of religion and/or secularism. Applicants are encouraged to reach out to faculty members regarding research assistant opportunities. Successful candidates will receive a maximum of $2,500.

IRCPL Summer Research Fellowships are available to Columbia University graduate students for research related to the completion of their dissertation or other research projects, depending on the level of study. The fellowship provides each student a maximum of $4,000 to cover expenses directly related to their research.

Joint Projects are an opportunity for Columbia faculty to collaborate with the Institute in developing and managing projects that aim to understand the role of religion and secularism, both historically and in the contemporary world. Joint Project funding may be applied to research projects, seminars, conferences, working groups, and other programs that bring together an interdisciplinary group of scholars.
